Naawa offers you unique outdoor experiences in the beautiful Finnish archipelago outside of Turku. Old or young, individual or group, Naawa has something to offer for everyone.

All the activities can be arranged in either Swedish, Finnish or English

The following activities can also be arranged for groups. Contact us for an exciting day in nature with your work team, school class or family and friends.

These outdoor activities are a fun way to strengthen the bonds of a team while enjoying being outside and in nature. All the activities can be arranged with food and accommodation, either in adventurous outdoor sceneries at Naawa Nature Camp or at one of the local hotels.

We will examine some common scandinavian flora and try to spot some of the animals of the forest. After a relaxing and informative nature walk You get to make Your own fire in a traditional way and we'll prepare some tea and snacks from what we've found in the forest. The programme will be altered according to season and a more seaside focused programme is also available.

Outdoor cooking

This activity will give You a chance to learn the basics in outdoor cooking.

We will prepare a dinner together over an open fire made from plants found in nature alongside local ingredients. You will learn how to take hygienic aspects into consideration in the field, get the basics in fire safety and get some insider tips on different ways to cook a meal over open fire.

We will finish off with some discussion while we enjoy our self-prepared meal around the fire.

You'll learn how to "call" for help, how to build a quick-fix shelter, and how to make a fire to keep You warm without matches or lighters.

After the program, we will enjoy a hot beverage by the fire and discuss surviving and safety outdoors

about korpo
Korpo is a central island in the journey out to the Finnish Archipelago. The island is full of beautiful archipelago nature, small winding roads and picturesque old villages. Take your time to fully enjoy and discover the calm paste and wild nature this area has to offer.

The famous Archipelago ring route crosses half of the island, and the location of Naawa Nature Camp is just perfect for an overnight stay, as it is just a few hundred meters away from Galtby harbor.

Sara Söderlund

This is Sara, the amazing creator and owner of Korpo Kajakbod and Naawa - Nature Awakening. Sara is an entrepreneur, wilderness guide and passionate about teaching the magical aspects of nature to others. She is a free soul who finds her energy in Nordic nature, surrounded by wild forests, windy seas and snowy mountain tops. She is the one to call for the most unique nature experiences in the area!

This is Andi, our fantastic guide! Andi is a devoted family man, yoga instructor, paramedic and a wilderness guide. He is passionate about nature and the sea, devotes himself to sharing the love for all living beings and the experience of the magical bliss of nature. You’ll find him in Korpo Kajakbod this summer or why not book a guided tour to spend more time with this magnificent individual?

  • We sort all our waste and offer a trash sorting station for the customers
  • We only serve plant based products at our activities.
  • We use a compost for food waste and have compostable toilets
  • We are self sufficient on electricity from solar panels installed at Naawa Nature Camp
  • We prefer second hand shopping and strive to buy used products when possible
  • We reuse old material as far as possible when building and renovating
  • We use our own compost to fertilize the gardens
  • We are proudly part of the LGBTQ community: We speak gay. 
  • We create an environment where everybody is welcome and have zero tolerance towards any kind of discrimination
  • We let parts of the grassland areas grow tall to create living spaces for the pollinators
  • We install bird houses at Naawa Nature Camp
