  • The tour starts in Guestharbour Verkan, Korpo. Korpo is situated 2 hours drive from Turku and 4 hours drive from Helsinki. Buses travel daily and the bus stop is 500 meter from the starting point.
  • Korpo is an island in the outer archipelago outside of Turku. The tour will take you into the maze of the thousands of islands, but we’ll also get a glimpse of the open Baltic sea.
  • The tour is suitable for anybody with average or good physical condition. 
Tips:
  • Bring a camera to capture the beautiful views!
  • Pack light – you don’t need to bring much on the tour.
  • Be prepared to get wet! Kayaking can be a wet activity.
  • Have fun! Kayaking is a great way to enjoy the Finnish nature and get some exercise.

  • Each participant is responsible for themselves and their personal belongings. Korpo Kajakbod is not responsible for participant belongings during the event.
  • By registering for the event, participants also accept the inherent risks associated with exercise, hiking, and activities.
  • Participants are responsible for their own insurance coverage. We recommend that participants obtain insurance suitable for the event.
  • Participants are obligated to follow the instructions provided by the organizer and instructor during the event to ensure safety. In case a participant violates the given instructions, they may be removed from the group for safety reasons and will be liable to compensate for any damages caused.
  • Korpo Kajakbod and the instructors will do their best to minimize all risks to participants. The organizers possess the necessary first-aid and safety skills for the activity.
  • Korpo Kajakbod has liability insurance as an event organizer, which covers damages caused by their own mistakes.

Payment terms

The customer is obliged to familiarize himself with the content and terms of the service offered. If the customer finds unclear information or errors in the information, he / she must report this to Korpo Kajakbod before payment is made. A mutual contractual obligation takes effect when a customer order is placed or the approval of Korpo Kajakbods’ offer. The booking is official and a binding agreement is made when the customer registers for the tour or rental of equipment and Korpo Kajakbod receives payment for the booking.

Korpo runt 2 day kayaking tour

Challenging
Embark on a two-day kayaking expedition around the beautiful island of Korpo. An advanced tour tailored for experienced paddlers who want to explore the archipelago in a deep and personal way.
Your expedition begins on the evening of day one with a communal dinner and sauna at the scenic Rumar Strand. The following morning, the adventure kicks off with an introduction to equipment and safety procedures and we’ll navigate towards the northern parts of Korpo, stopping for a well-deserved lunch break halfway. After a long day on the water, we’ll check into Naawa Nature Camp, where you can relax in the sauna and enjoy a delicious dinner cooked over an open fire.
On the last day, we’ll continue south towards Rumar Strand. This day also features about 16–20 km of paddling, with a lunch break halfway, before we conclude the tour back at the starting point.
 
What to Expect
This tour is designed to give you a unique combination of challenging physical activity and relaxation. Expect to kayak long distances in varying weather conditions. You will experience the archipelago’s diverse landscape, from open seas to sheltered straits. The evenings offer peaceful moments in nature, where you can relax in the sauna, enjoy good food, and socialize with the group.

  • Level: This tour is for those with previous kayaking experience and who are comfortable with paddling longer distances.
  • Add-on: An extra night at Rumar Strand can be booked upon request.

In these cases, the customer receives a 100% refund of Korpo Kajakbod’s fees for the guided trip.
  • In the circumstances where the weather is looking too rough (hard rain or wind), Korpo Kajakbod has the right to cancel the tour. In these cases, the customer receives a 100% refund of Korpo Kajakbod’s fees for the guided trip.
What to Bring
To ensure you have the best possible experience, we recommend bringing the following:
  • Paddling Clothing: Clothes that are water-resistant and dry quickly, such as technical materials. Avoid cotton.
  • Dry Clothes: Warm and dry clothes for evenings and camp. A rain jacket and pants are recommended.
  • Personal Gear: A water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, toiletries, and any personal medications.
  • Weather protection: Hat and sunglasses for sunny days.

How to get here

On the beautiful archipelago island of Korpo in the center of the Turku archipelago, about 80 kilometres from Turku. You can get here easily by car, bus or bicycle.

Korpo is well connected to the mainland via two ferries that are free and operate around the clock, all year round. During the summer with about 15 min. intervals, in winter slightly less frequently.

The famous Archipelago trail crosses half of the island, and the location of Naawa Nature Camp is just perfect for an overnight stay, as it is just a few hundred meters away from Galtby harbor.

This is Sara, the amazing creator and owner of Korpo Kajakbod and Naawa - Nature Awakening. Sara is an entrepreneur, wilderness guide and passionate about teaching the magical aspects of nature to others. She is a free soul who finds her energy in Nordic nature, surrounded by wild forests, windy seas and snowy mountain tops. She is the one to call for the most unique nature experiences in the area!

One week in Korpo with Naawa as base camp 😎

We consider a week to be the perfect amount of time to discover many of the things Korpo has to offer, while still having enough time to relax and enjoy our beautiful island without stress. Interested in a one week plan? Keep reading!

Day 1

Hike the Biosphere Trail and enjoy lunch on Restaurant Buffalo's terrace with a beautiful view over the sea. Finish the day with a tennis match or a round of frisbee golf.

Day 2

Rent a bike and cycle around the village, visit the market square and have lunch at Hjalmars Restaurant in the center. The local heritage museum is open every day in the summer, just 800 meters from the center, and our beautiful public beach at Likholmen is just around the corner.

Day 3

Visit the Archipelago Center Korpoström, where children can be researchers for a day in the Kids Lab, while adults enjoy an exhibition about the archipelago sea. Take the opportunity to buy fresh vegetables at "Korpoström magasinet", where local suppliers sell their products (self-service).

DAY 4

Take the MS Utö to Utö or Jurmo for an unforgettable experience in the outer archipelago (certain days only).

DAY 5

Rent kayaks or SUP boards from Korpo Kajakbod and spend the day on the water for a full archipelago experience.

DAY 6

Take the ferry to Houtskär and spend the day in an authentic archipelago community. Visit the boat museum, the church and have a nice lunch by the sea. You can also enjoy the nature on one of the nature paths and get a great view over the nearby archipelago from one of the watch towers.

DAY 7

Book an outdoor activity at Naawa Nature Camp and combine it with lunch in nature or a relaxing sauna.
